How to do it
Sign on plain white paper with a dark pen, take a straight photo in good light (or scan it), then choose it above. "Signature, logo or stamp" mode removes the paper colour and keeps the ink, including the soft edges of pen strokes.

Honest limits
- Fine hair, fur, glass and smoke can leave soft or missing edges.
- Objects that are the same colour as the background are hard to separate.
- Images larger than 4,000 pixels on the longest side are scaled down.
- iPhone HEIC photos must be converted to JPG first in most browsers.
Your images stay private
Most free background removers upload your photo to a server. CutRuler runs the model in your browser, so your images never leave your device. That matters for signatures, ID photos and unreleased products.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use the PNG in Word, Google Docs or a PDF signer?
Yes. Insert the PNG as an image. In Word, set the image layout to "In front of text" to place it over a signature line.
Is a signature image legally binding?
That depends on the document, the other party and the law where you are. A pasted image is not the same as a certified e-signature service. If it matters, ask the recipient what they accept.
Is CutRuler free?

Are my images uploaded?
No. They are processed in your browser. Only the model files and code library are downloaded.
Why is the first AI run slower?
