Make a digital signature with a transparent background

By Alex, editor · Updated October 25, 2026 · Published by Ecomparadise, LLC

Free and private: the background is removed in your browser, so your image is never uploaded. No watermark.

Choose images, drag them here, or paste (Ctrl+V / Cmd+V)
JPG, PNG, WEBP. Up to 30 at once. Stays on your device.

Choose an image to start. Nothing is uploaded.

How to do it

Sign on white paper, photograph it flat, and process it here in "Signature, logo or stamp" mode. Download the transparent PNG and keep it somewhere safe.

Tip: Treat your signature image like a key: do not post it publicly or email it around unnecessarily.

How it works

  1. Choose, drop or paste one or more images.
  2. Pick a mode. "Photo (AI)" runs a segmentation model on your device; the first run downloads it once (about 44 MB). "Signature, logo or stamp" removes a plain background colour instantly, with no download.
  3. Choose transparent, white or any colour, and the size. You can change these afterwards without re-running.
  4. Download PNG (transparent) or JPG (solid background).

Honest limits

Your images stay private

Most free background removers upload your photo to a server. CutRuler runs the model in your browser, so your images never leave your device. That matters for signatures, ID photos and unreleased products.

Frequently asked questions

Is my signature uploaded?

No. The image is processed in your browser and never sent to us.

Is CutRuler free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no image limit, because processing runs on your device.

Are my images uploaded?

No. They are processed in your browser. Only the model files and code library are downloaded.

Why is the first AI run slower?

The model downloads once (about 44 MB) and is then cached by your browser.
